Troupe de théâtre du QG

The “Troupe de théâtre du QG” is at the heart of the realization of intergenerational projects, by staging a play written by Rachel Sigouin, a regular volunteer at the Residence. The production and staging, costumes and scenery were entirely thought out by six volunteers who presented this play in elementary schools and in seniors’ residences.

Andréanne Coutaller

Proposed by Défi Sportif AlterGo

Andréanne Coutaller is at the heart of social inclusion by developing a new approach to school groups to raise awareness of volunteerism and disability among youth. Andréanne plays a major role in promoting universal accessibility and changing mentalities. Volunteers who have benefited from these skills will apply and share them in their daily lives and will in turn contribute to changing mindsets!

Jean-Marie D’Amour

Proposed by Regroupement des aveugles et amblyopes du Montréal métropolitain

Jean-Marie D’Amour is at the heart of efforts to improve web accessibility for people who are blind and visually impaired. In 2018-2019 (March to April), he volunteered over 500 hours of work for RAAMM by participating in their special web accessibility project and working committee, serving on the board of directors, and supporting the organization in various ways.

Makai Harif is at the heart of the organization’s mission by being the brain and creative spirit of the center. She has supported hundreds of immigrant women and their families in a wide range of needs: housing, employment, legal issues, social needs, language barriers, celebration of important holidays, etc.

Joannie Rochette

Proposed by Fondation des maladies du coeur et de l’AVC

Joannie Rochette is at the heart of the Heart & Stroke Foundation, lending her face and voice to posters, ads, social media posts, videos and more for this fundraising campaign. Joannie inspired Canadians when she won a bronze medal at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, just three days after losing her mother to a heart attack.

TD volunteers are at the heart of unlocking the potential of people with disabilities during the Défi sportif AlterGo. Each year, TD employees get involved at the Défi sportif AlterGo at the competitions, the reception and the animation area. In 2019, they invested 1382 volunteer hours!

Ginette Paré

This year’s Jury’s Special Mention award highlights all of Ginette’s volunteer work in improving the well-being of the residents of the Institut universitaire de Gériatrie de Montréal, the users of the Notre-Dame Hospital, the users of the Friendship Calls and many other people who are fortunate enough to cross her path, no matter where they are in their lives.
